Snippet Manager is a text expander for people who answer the same questions all day — service desk, IT support, anyone living in a ticket queue.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Type /vpn (or ;vpn or .vpn) in any text box and your snippet appears at the cursor
• Placeholders open a small form instead of pasting half-finished text — fill it in, check the preview, insert it complete
• {{today}}, {{agent}}, {{url}} and a dozen others fill themselves in
• Snippets can be scoped to a tool or a whole category, so your ticket templates lead in your ticketing system and your sign-offs lead in your mail client
• Clipboard history keeps the last 100 things you copied, searchable and pinnable
• The Health tab finds trigger conflicts — if /v shadows /vpn, your longer snippet silently becomes unreachable, and it tells you
• Nested folders, tags, pinning, favourites, and search that covers names, triggers, tags and content
• Command palette (Ctrl+Shift+P), address-bar search, right-click menu, sidebar, and a toolbar popup
• Runbooks — the troubleshooting checklist you work through before you reply. Tick the steps as you go and they fill {{steps_taken}} in the escalation, so the write-up comes free
• Steps can ask a question rather than just be ticked, and the answer goes into the write-up
• Reference guides for the things you look up rather than work through
• Share runbooks with your team as a file — no account, no server
• Conditional snippets: {{if}}, {{repeat}} and validation that can refuse to insert
• One snippet inside another, so a shared sign-off lives in one place

PRIVACY

No account, no sync, no servers, no analytics. The add-on makes no network requests at all — everything stays in your browser's local storage. Clipboard history reads what you select when you copy rather than requesting clipboard permission, skips anything that looks like an API key, and never touches password fields.

Ten example snippets are included to get you started, and can be removed in one click from Settings.
