Pounce is a fast, keyboard-driven command palette and tab manager for Chrome and Firefox. Hit one shortcut and a single search box opens over any page — search every open tab, recently closed tab, bookmark, and your history at once, then switch, close, or act on results without ever touching the mouse.

Think Spotlight, Raycast, or Alfred — a tab switcher, tab search, and command palette in one — but living inside your browser where it can actually
see your tabs and sessions.

Your tabs pile up because closing one feels like losing the task. Pounce fixes recall, not just lookup: it remembers the browsing you already did, so you stop re-Googling pages you've already seen.

🔍 Search everything, instantly
- One box for it all — open tabs, open windows, recently closed tabs, bookmarks, and full history, searched together, with duplicate pages merged into one result.
- Forgiving fuzzy search shrugs off typos, and your most-recent tabs surface first.
- A "recently viewed" list blends the tabs, pages, and bookmarks you touched lately, so you pick up right where you left off.
- Easy to scan — site icons, friendly timestamps like "2 hr ago", and none of the clutter from the page you're already on.

⌨ Built for the keyboard
- Open from anywhere — a customizable keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Space / Option+Space), the toolbar button, or the right-click menu.
- Move, open, switch source, and page through results entirely by keyboard — the mouse still works fine if you want it.
- Nothing to memorize — a built-in ? panel lists every shortcut and command.

⚡ Type "@" for sources, "/" for commands
- Focus one source with @ — @tabs, @windows, @recent (open + recently-closed + history in one timeline), @bookmarks, @history, and @downloads (Enter reveals the file in its folder).
- Run a command with / — /web (search the web, or type a URL to go straight there), /close, /mute, /pin, /duplicate, /move, /bookmark this page, /newtab, /incognito, /settings.
- Say it your way — commands and sources also answer to plain words, including partial words and small typos: save finds /bookmark, google finds /web, even setings finds /settings.
- Act on many at once — under /close, /mute, /pin, or /move, press Space to tick several tabs, then Enter runs the command on the whole batch.

🎨 Make it yours
- Themes — Dark, Light, or Liquid Glass, following your system by default, plus accent colors and a reduce-motion option.
- Tune search — default source, results per page, fuzzy strictness, and more. Settings apply instantly.

🔒 Private by design
- Everything stays on your device. Your tabs, history, bookmarks, and downloads are matched locally and never sent anywhere. Pounce makes no background network requests — no servers, no analytics, no account. Running /web simply opens a search-results tab, exactly like typing in the address bar.
- Minimal permissions — no broad host access at install. The only optional permission is site access for Tab thumbnails, requested when you enable that feature in Settings; even then the snapshots stay on your device.
