4. Browser Extension Privacy
The KEXI Browser Extension enhances your Kick.com experience with custom nameplates, badges, and media alerts. Here's how it handles your data:
Chat Message Reading: The extension reads Kick.com chat messages locally in your browser to identify usernames and apply custom nameplate styling. Messages are NOT sent to our servers for this purpose.
Nameplate Display: Custom nameplate colors, gradients, effects (glow, fire, ice, electric, etc.), and badges are fetched from KEXI servers and applied locally to chat elements.
Local Storage: Your language preferences, consent status, viewer username, and widget state are stored locally on your device using browser storage.
Real-time Connection: The extension connects to KEXI servers via WebSocket for real-time nameplate updates and media alerts. This connection is encrypted.
No External Tracking: The extension does not track your browsing history, personal messages, or any activity outside of Kick.com.
Required Permissions: The extension requires storage (for preferences), tabs (for Kick.com detection), and host permissions specifically for kick.com domains only.
5. Extension Consent & Control
When you first install the KEXI extension, you will be asked to provide explicit consent before any features are activated:
First-Run Consent: A consent dialog explains what data the extension will access and why. You must actively accept before any functionality is enabled.
Reject Option: If you decline consent, the extension is automatically disabled. You can re-enable it later through extension settings.
Consent Revocation: You can revoke your consent at any time by disabling the extension or clearing extension data in your browser settings.
Transparency: The consent dialog clearly explains that the extension reads chat messages (for nameplate display), connects to KEXI servers (for real-time updates), and stores preferences locally.
6. Nameplate & Customization Data
Your nameplate customization choices are handled as follows:
What We Store: Your chosen nameplate colors, gradient configurations, animation effects, badge selections, and visibility preferences.
Public Display: Nameplate customizations are visible to other viewers using the KEXI extension. Your username styling appears in chat for all extension users.
Data Retention: Nameplate preferences are retained as long as your account is active. You can reset or delete them at any time from your dashboard.
No Message Content: We do not store, log, or transmit the content of chat messages. Only usernames are matched for nameplate display.
7. Media Migration & Consent
When using the media migration feature from third-party platforms (Blerp, P4rrot):
Explicit Consent: You must provide explicit consent before any data is collected or transferred.
Data Collected: Media IDs, titles, thumbnails, and platform information only.
Ownership Verification: We verify your ownership of media before migration.
Consent Withdrawal: You can revoke consent at any time through extension settings.
8. Your Rights
Access & Correction: Update your information via your dashboard.
Data Deletion: Delete media individually or request full account deletion.
Data Export: Request a copy of all your data in a portable format.
Extension Data: Clear all extension data through your browser's extension settings.

CCPA/GDPR: We respect rights to access, delete, and export your data under applicable laws.
