- Start in: Settings > Inbox now lets you start in Inbox or All mail. A new tab that lands on the inbox opens All mail instead. Reloads, thread links and other views are left alone.
- Theme: 14 presets, a random color that changes on each load, and your own color kept next to the presets. Scrims are deeper in dark mode.
- Gemini: questions, search answers and summaries use Gmail's Gemini side panel where your account has it. Help me write and Refine fall back to it when compose has no Help me write. Answers fade in word by word.
- Compose: the expanded page fills the window with even spacing, and the side rail shows recent mail with the person you're writing to. Docking and expanding no longer scale the draft. On narrow windows, Discard and Insert link move into More.
- Snackbars show progress. "Opening account" and "Scheduling" show a spinner and turn into their result in place. Errors get an icon and stay up longer.
- Phones: Gmail's desktop page is requested on phone browsers, so the redesign works there.

Fixed
- Search options no longer lose focus when the search bar refreshes in the background, and Escape closes only the date picker instead of the whole panel.
- Dark theme: emails with their own light design no longer end up with unreadable grey text.
- Smart replies work with Gmail's newer suggested reply chips, and replies without a preview no longer leave a gap.
- Undoing a move or archive brings the row back with an entry animation instead of snapping in.
- A snackbar about a lazily loaded part now appears only if its code fails to download.
- Updated dependencies, icons and Google Sans Flex.
