Informazioni sull’estensione
Transform your eBird experience with powerful interactive mapping tools that bring your birding data to life!

Developed by Feather & Isobar LLC, combining expertise in geographic, scientific data visualization, and a passion for birding to create professional-grade tools for the eBird community.

🎯 FIND TARGET SPECIES FASTER

Planning your next birding trip? The Target Species Map shows you exactly where to find birds you haven't seen yet. An interactive choropleth map highlights counties and regions by target species diversity, helping you discover the best locations for finding new birds. See at a glance which areas have the most species you need, with color-coded intensity showing species concentration. Filter by time range to focus on recently reported birds and plan efficient birding routes.

🗺️ VISUALIZE RECENT SIGHTINGS

Never miss rare birds in your area! The Alert Map transforms your eBird rare bird alerts into an interactive map with color-coded markers showing species diversity at each location. See where the most interesting birds are being reported, filter by days back (1-7 days), and click any marker to view species details and checklist links. Multiple base layers (Streets, Satellite, Hybrid, Terrain) help you plan the perfect approach to each hotspot.

📋 MAP YOUR ENTIRE LIFE LIST

Watch your birding journey unfold geographically! The Life List Map shows every location where you've recorded a lifer, with markers color-coded by species count. Filter by year to see how your life list has grown over time, from your first birds to your most recent additions. Each marker shows exactly which species you saw at that location, with direct links to your original checklists. Perfect for reminiscing about memorable birding moments and identifying geographic gaps in your life list.

📷 EXPLORE YOUR MEDIA LOCATIONS

Photographers and recordists: visualize where you've documented birds! The Media Map displays all your Macaulay Library contributions (photos, audio, video) on an interactive map, with a powerful species panel for filtering and exploration. Search by species name, filter by year, sort taxonomically or by photo count, and click any species to zoom to its locations. See your photographic coverage at a glance and identify species or regions you haven't documented yet.

📊 ANALYZE YOUR BIRDING PATTERNS

Understand your birding habits with the My Checklists Map and Analytics. View all your checklist locations on an interactive map with optional GPS track overlays showing your exact birding routes. Below the map, an interactive timeline chart reveals your birding patterns: cumulative hours over time, species observed per day, and hours spent birding each day. Zoom and pan through your birding history to spot trends, peak seasons, and memorable birding days.

  2. Navigate to any eBird page (alerts, targets, life list, my checklists, or media)
  3. Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar
