This Privacy Policy explains how the dulogo Firefox extension handles information when you use the extension.

dulogo is an independent, unofficial Firefox extension that translates the Arabic user interface and related text of Duolingo into Persian.

dulogo is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Duolingo.


dulogo does not operate its own user database and does not intentionally collect personal information such as your name, email address, password, browsing history, or account credentials.

The extension may process the following information locally or send selected website content to a translation service when translation is requested:

• Text displayed on Duolingo pages that needs to be translated.
• Translation preferences and extension settings.
• Custom translation prompts entered by the user.
• API keys entered by the user for supported translation or AI services.

If you choose to use an AI or custom translation provider, you may enter your own API key in the extension settings.

API keys are stored locally in the user's Firefox extension storage.

dulogo does not send API keys to the developer or to any server operated by the developer.

When an API key is required to communicate with a third-party provider, the key is used by the extension to communicate directly with the provider selected by the user.

You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining your own API keys and for complying with the terms and privacy policies of the corresponding service providers.


dulogo supports multiple translation providers.


When Google Translate is selected, text that requires translation may be sent directly from the extension to Google's translation service.

Google may process the submitted content according to its own terms and privacy policy.


When Yandex Translate is selected, text that requires translation may be sent directly from the extension to Yandex's translation service.

Yandex may process the submitted content according to its own terms and privacy policy.


dulogo can optionally use AI providers including:

• Google Gemini
• OpenAI
• OpenRouter
• A custom OpenAI-compatible API

When an AI provider is selected, the text that requires translation is sent to the provider selected and configured by the user.

The developer of dulogo does not receive or store these translation requests.

The processing of submitted content by these third-party providers is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.


dulogo supports custom OpenAI-compatible API endpoints.

This may include locally hosted services such as Ollama or other compatible servers.

If you configure a local or self-hosted endpoint, the translation data is sent to the endpoint specified by you.

dulogo does not control how a third-party or self-hosted server processes or stores the information it receives.


dulogo operates on supported Duolingo pages and may read text from those pages in order to provide its translation functionality.

Only content required for the translation functionality is processed.

Depending on the translation provider selected by the user, this content may be transmitted to that provider for translation.

dulogo does not intentionally collect unrelated browsing activity or transmit unrelated website content.


The extension stores certain settings locally in Firefox, which may include:

• Selected translation provider.
• Translation preferences.
• Batch and translation settings.
• Custom prompts.
• User translation corrections.
• API keys entered by the user.
• Other extension configuration settings.

This information is stored using Firefox extension storage and is not transmitted to servers operated by the developer unless explicitly stated otherwise in this policy.


Google and Yandex translation functionality is available without payment to the dulogo developer.

AI translation functionality is an optional paid feature of dulogo and may require an activation or purchase.

Payment or activation information is not used by dulogo to access or store the user's API keys.

The exact payment information processed during a purchase depends on the payment provider used for the activation process.

dulogo does not request or store users' payment-card numbers inside the Firefox extension.


dulogo does not sell, rent, or otherwise provide users' personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

Translation content may be transmitted to the third-party translation or AI provider selected by the user because this transmission is necessary to provide the requested translation service.

dulogo does not operate a separate server that stores users' translation requests.


dulogo does not intentionally use advertising trackers or third-party analytics services to build profiles of users.

The extension does not intentionally track users across unrelated websites.


When you use a third-party translation or AI provider, that provider may process information according to its own privacy policy and terms.

Users should review the privacy policies of the services they choose to use, including Google, Yandex, OpenAI, OpenRouter, and any custom API provider.

dulogo cannot control the privacy practices, retention policies, or processing practices of third-party services.


dulogo is designed to keep user configuration and API keys within the user's Firefox extension storage.

However, no software or Internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users should protect their Firefox profile and API keys and should use API keys with appropriate permissions and usage limits whenever supported by the provider.


dulogo is not designed to intentionally collect personal information from children.

Because dulogo does not operate a user account system or maintain a user database, it does not intentionally collect children's personal information.


This Privacy Policy may be updated when the functionality of dulogo changes or when necessary to reflect changes in applicable requirements.
