Important Limitations

To ensure the best possible rendering performance, please note the following constraints:

No Scanned PDFs: DimDoc is explicitly built for standard, born-digital text documents (like textbooks, journals, and newsletters). It does not support legacy scanned image documents.

No iFrames: The extension will not intercept or apply dark mode to PDFs embedded inside webpage iframes.

Privacy First

Zero Data Collection: All document parsing and color calculation happen completely locally on your machine. DimDoc does not collect personal data, track your browsing, or transmit document contents to external servers.

This is an unofficial Firefox port of DimDoc (https://github.com/jefrinissac/DimDoc) by Jefrin Issac, which is available for Chrome and Edge. PDFs are displayed with Mozilla's PDF.js.
