This used to work very well, and might work for some websites, but for its advertised purpose of downloading artwork from museum digital galleries, it no longer works. I'm very disappointed that the developer is no longer maintaining it. I hope they come back and fix the issues soon.

As I desperately needed this photo to extract the Intel 1103 DRAM die photo at a high resolution so I can teach my students, this extension was a godsend when a website is silly enough to not provide a direct download link.

repeatedly misses chunks when downloading images, as in literally there will be black squares in the middle of the completed image, making it unusable

This add-on is VERY underrated...
It has saved me SO MUCH hassle by basically doing something so many add-ons promised they can do but basically could not (Thus I had to do much of it completely manual).
I can not thank you enough!

Edit: 14/11/2023 I downgrade my 5 previous stars review. Unfortunately this addon does not work anymore on Google Arts all the the time . Something about too many requests on the server.

The author has created another tool called Dezoomify - rs that works and you can download the images. You have to install it on your computer and Windows Defender warns you that it may be insecure. I passed Norton and it seemed perfectly fine.

I hope this extensions gets fixed in the future or a new one comes along with the same functionality and success rate this one had in the past.

Immensely useful, as someone who works in the field of out-of-copyright archival imagery, that does not belong behind paywalls or other obfuscations.

The Dezoomify addon is very useful and practical.

I have been doing this manually for so many years that the software I use is creaking and I can never remember how to use it - So many thanks for this!
