COOKmate browser extension – Privacy policy

The COOKmate extension is published by MAADINFO SERVICES (2 Allée des Ormeaux, 06130 Grasse, France). It imports the recipe shown in your browser into your COOKmate account. This policy covers the extension. The use of your COOKmate account and of the COOKmate website is covered by the COOKmate privacy policy: https://www.cookmate.online/privacy/

What the extension sends, and when
The extension sends data only when you click its "Import recipe" button, and only about the active tab. It then sends to COOKmate (www.cookmate.online), over HTTPS:
- the address (URL) of the page;
- the content of the page as it is displayed (its HTML).
It does not read or send any other page, your browsing history, or the cookies of the websites you visit.

How this data is used
The page content is used only to extract the recipe, which is then saved in your COOKmate account with the page address as its source. The page content is not kept once the import is done: it is neither stored nor fully logged. When needed to analyse the page, it may be sent to the OpenAI APIs (https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy). The page address is kept with the saved recipe, to show its source and to detect recipes you have already imported.

Data stored in your browser
To keep you signed in, the extension stores in your browser the access tokens issued by COOKmate when you sign in. It also stores your COOKmate username and e-mail address, to show which account is signed in. It does not store your password, and keeps no history of your imports.

Signing out
The "Sign out" link of the extension revokes its access to your account on the COOKmate server and deletes the stored tokens. Changing your COOKmate password also revokes it. Removing the extension deletes all the data it stores in your browser.

Sharing
The extension contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code. COOKmate does not sell your data.

Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, delete and port your personal data, as described in the COOKmate privacy policy. This policy may be updated with new versions of the extension.
