ClipJect saves reusable text and inserts it into webpage fields you choose.
The extension processes and stores its data locally in your browser profile.
It has no account service, advertising, analytics, telemetry, remote code,
cloud backup, or automatic synchronization. The developer does not receive
your snippets or browsing information through the extension.
- Text and optional labels you explicitly save, type, or import as snippets,
together with identifiers and creation/update timestamps. - The origin, path, and title of a page associated with saved field snippets.
URL query strings and fragments are not included in the page key. - Identifiers for fields you select, such as an ID, name, accessible label,
placeholder, or structural location, along with field type and timestamps. - Your enabled/disabled and appearance preferences.
ClipJect examines field identity and page context to recognize selected fields
and display the right snippets. It reads a field's current value when you
choose Save current. It does not automatically save everything you type
or maintain a general browsing-history log. Password fields are excluded.
Text and metadata you choose to save can contain personal or sensitive
information; ClipJect does not classify or extract those details separately.
This information is used only to save, organize, find, and insert your snippets
and apply your preferences. ClipJect does not send it to a developer server,
sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness.
Its use of user data is limited to its stated snippet-management features,
consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use.
Selecting a snippet writes it into the webpage field you selected and notifies
the page that its value changed. That website can then read or transmit the
field value according to its own behavior and privacy policy, including
autosave behavior. ClipJect itself does not submit the form.
Copy and share actions place text or an encoded share code on your clipboard.
A share code includes snippet text and associated page/field metadata.
Export creates a local JSON backup of snippets and selected fields. These
actions occur only when you request them. You control where you subsequently
paste or send that information. Other software, clipboard synchronization,
or storage services you use may handle the resulting clipboard or files.
Data stays in the extension's local browser storage until you edit or delete
it or remove the extension. ClipJect does not add encryption to saved text,
exported files, or share codes; encoding a share code is not encryption.
Open Snippet library to review, change, copy, and delete individual snippets.
Under Settings, Export data creates a backup and Delete all removes
all saved snippets and selected-field registrations after confirmation.
Appearance and enabled/disabled preferences remain after that deletion.
Removing the extension removes its browser-managed local extension storage.
Previously exported files and copied/shared data must be deleted separately.
For questions, including privacy requests, use
ClipJect support.
Support issues are public: describe the problem without including private
snippets, personal information, or sensitive page details.
If the extension's data handling changes, this policy and its effective date
will be updated. Requests for new permissions or consent will be presented
where required. Store account, installation, and support-site services are
operated by their respective providers under their own policies.
