Cleanup Gmail ("the Extension") is developed by Ascenso Labs with a strict privacy-first, zero-telemetry architecture. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you use the Extension.

No Data Collection by the Developer: The Developer (Ascenso Labs) does not collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your personal data, email data, or usage statistics. The Extension contains no analytics, no tracking pixels, and absolutely zero telemetry.

How Your Data is Processed: The Extension acts solely as a bridge between your local Firefox browser and your personal Google Account.
- To function, the Extension communicates exclusively with a Google Apps Script Web App that you personally deploy and control on your own Google account.
- All email processing (searching for unread emails and marking them as read) occurs entirely within your own secure Google ecosystem.
- No third-party servers or intermediary APIs are ever used to process your data.

Local Data Storage: The Extension requires you to save your Google Apps Script Web App URLs and profile labels (e.g., "Work Email") so it knows where to send the cleanup commands.
- This configuration data is stored locally on your device.
- In addition, if you have enabled Firefox Sync, this configuration data is securely synchronized across your devices via Mozilla's native encrypted Sync service. The Developer has no access to this synced data.

Browser Permissions

The Extension requires the following permissions to function:

• mail.google.com: To detect which Gmail account you are currently logged into to select the correct profile.
• script.google.com & script.googleusercontent.com: To send the "mark as read" execution commands to your personal Google Apps Script.
• storage: To save your profile configuration locally.

Revoking Access: Because you own the Google Apps Script deployment that processes your emails, you retain 100% control over your data. You can permanently revoke the Extension's ability to modify your inbox at any time by deleting or disabling the Web App deployment in your Google Apps Script dashboard.
