BugCapture turns any bug into a complete report in one click.
Press Ctrl+B on the page where something broke. BugCapture captures the
screenshot, the console, the network activity, the environment and the steps
that led there — then files it into your tracker with the fields your team
actually requires.
Built for QA teams, not just individual devs.
Every report carries Environment, Severity and Priority. If your Jira project
has mandatory custom fields, BugCapture renders them at capture time and fills
them in — so bugs arrive complete instead of arriving as a link somebody has
to chase.
What it captures
• Screenshot, with an annotation and blur tool
• A screen recording — of a tab, or just an area you drag a box around
• Console logs and errors
• Network requests, including failures
• Browser, OS, viewport, URL and page state
• Reproduction steps, recorded as you click
Screen recording on Firefox
Firefox does not allow an extension to start screen capture from its toolbar
popup, so recording opens a small BugCapture window with a Start button. Click
Start, then choose the tab in Firefox's own sharing dialog. It is one extra
click than on Chrome, and the recording window doubles as your timer and Stop
control.
Recordings that point at the bug
Every console error and failed request during a recording is pinned on its
timeline, so one click plays the second it broke — and the steps to reproduce
are written for you from what you actually did.
Where it files
Jira · GitHub · ClickUp · Linear · Notion · Trello · Asana · Azure Boards ·
Sentry, with Slack notifications
Privacy
Input values are never recorded. Captured data is redacted before it leaves the
page. Cookies, localStorage and network request bodies are NOT collected by
default — a workspace admin must turn them on.
Account required
BugCapture needs a free BugCapture account to file reports. Free tier is 20
reports with no card. Paid plans exist for teams.
