Ribbon is a gift list. We keep as little as we can, and we don’t sell it.
The website

If you create a list without signing in, we store the list, the gifts you add, and a secret edit link on your device. Anyone you send the public list link to can view it and reserve gifts.

If you sign in (email, Google, or X), we store your name, email, profile photo from that sign-in, your handle, your lists, and your connections. We use that so friends can find you and see lists you share with them.
The browser extension

The Ribbon extension does not run in the background and does not watch your browsing. When you click Add to Ribbon (or the right-click menu), it reads the product page you have open — address, title, image, price, and size if shown — and opens Ribbon so you can save it. Nothing is sent until you click.

We do not collect browsing history, cookies from other sites, or analytics from the extension.
Shops

Buying happens on the original store. Ribbon never sees your card, address, or checkout. If someone marks a gift as bought, we only store that it was gotten — not what they paid.
