Most privacy tools hand you a list of trackers. A list is data. A grade is a judgment, and it is the difference between knowing a page made 41 third-party requests and knowing that page is a D.

Firefox will tell you Shield can access your data on all websites. That is true and it has to be, because Shield cannot grade a page it is not allowed to read. What it never does is send any of it anywhere.

Do not take our word for it. Open the Network panel in developer tools, browse for an hour, and count the requests to our servers. The free tier makes none.
