OffMic Autor: Xeron
A private voice channel between teammates during a Microsoft Teams meeting. Mute your Teams mic and you talk to your team, unmute and you talk to the client. Peer to peer, encrypted, no account.

Informacije o ovom proširenju
Your team needs to talk something over, right now, in the middle of a client call. Today that means switching to another tool or staying quiet.
OffMic adds a private voice channel between your teammates, driven by one thing only: your microphone state in Teams.
No extra button, no shortcut to memorise. You mute yourself the way you always do, and that gesture becomes the trigger.
How it works
A content script watches the Teams microphone button and derives the muted or live state. Your voice travels over peer-to-peer WebRTC, encrypted end to end by DTLS-SRTP, straight to your teammates. It never passes through any server. The signaling server only introduces peers long enough to exchange SDP descriptions and ICE candidates, then steps out of the way.
Good to know before installing
Privacy
No account, no sign-up, no tracking, no analytics. Rooms live in memory on the relay and are never written to disk. Your settings stay in your browser.
Free and open source under AGPL-3.0. You can run your own relay: the address is editable straight from the popup.

- Muted in Teams → you talk to your team, and the client hears nothing.
- Live in Teams → you talk to the client, and you keep hearing your team.

- Headphones are mandatory. If your team's voice comes out of your speakers while your Teams mic is live, the client will hear it. No software can fix that.
- Teams in the browser only. A browser extension has no reach into the Teams desktop app.
- On Firefox the voice channel runs inside your Teams tab, so closing or reloading that tab ends the call.
- Up to 5 or 6 people. Beyond that a peer-to-peer mesh costs too much upstream bandwidth.
