Langsammm Autor: Liam

Play a record slowly and the pitch drops, which is the point. But a singer's
vocal resonances drop with it, and those come from the size of a throat, not
from the note being sung. That is why slowed music sounds bloated and slurred.

Langsammm lifts those resonances back where they started while leaving the
pitch down. You gain the weight and a new vibe, without losing the voice you know.

Using it

Install, open a video, and a small panel appears in the corner. Playback drops
to 84.09% of normal, three semitones down. The interval is adjustable from one
to seven semitones.

The panel plots what is actually happening: the spectral envelope where the
slowdown left it, and where Langsammm has moved it back to. Set amount to
zero to hear the difference.

Where it works

YouTube, YouTube Music, SoundCloud and Bandcamp.

It cannot work on Spotify or Apple Music. Those players hand the browser
encrypted audio, which no extension is permitted to process.

What it collects

Nothing. No network requests, no analytics. Your slider positions are stored
locally and never leave the browser.
