Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 15, 2026
Arkive is a local-first product built by Burhan Bharmal. This policy explains what data is handled when you use Arkive on web and extension surfaces.
Data you store in Arkive
Your bookmarks, notes, RSS feeds, and related module data are stored in your browser on your device (IndexedDB/local storage). Arkive is designed so your workspace data remains local unless you choose to share or sync it.
Newsletter and contact data
If you subscribe to product updates, Arkive collects the details you submit (such as name and email) to send you product news and updates.
Analytics
Arkive uses analytics to understand product usage and improve reliability. Analytics payloads are restricted and sanitized in the client to avoid sending sensitive content fields from your notes/bookmarks.
P2P sync
When you use P2P Sync, data is exchanged directly between your connected devices. Both devices must be online at the same time for transfer.
Your choices
You can clear module data from within Arkive, clear browser storage, or stop using the service at any time. You can also contact us to request removal of subscriber/contact records tied to your email.
