If Firefox showed you a data collection prompt, please read this first - nothing about how Keepa works has changed.

Since Firefox 140, every add-on must declare data categories from a fixed list, and Firefox displays that list on install and update. The labels are generic and are not scoped to the sites an add-on can actually reach. What they mean for Keepa:

Browsing activity - to draw a price chart, the add-on has to tell keepa.com which product you are looking at, so it sends that product's ASIN. This happens only on Amazon product pages; the add-on does not run on, and cannot see, any other site. The ASIN is used to render the chart. It is not logged or retained, and nothing is stored about you unless you choose to track a product.
Authentication information - a token that loads your own Keepa settings and tracked products. It is a credential for your Keepa account. It is not your name, e-mail or address, and not your Firefox or Amazon login - the add-on handles none of those.
Technical and interaction data (optional) - your browser type and the add-on version. This one is optional and can be switched off in Firefox's add-on settings.

No page content is sent to us. Keepa does not build a browsing profile and does not sell your data.

Strict Privacy & Minimal Permissions

The Firefox build is deliberately minimal and requests only what it needs:

keepa.com and the Amazon domains above - required to place the price chart onto the product page. The add-on runs nowhere else.
Cookies - holds your settings and session token on keepa.com. The chart is embedded from keepa.com, and Firefox's Total Cookie Protection prevents that embedded frame from reading them on its own, so the add-on passes them across.
Storage - caches your configuration locally in your browser.
Context menus - adds a "View products on Keepa" entry that opens the Amazon products linked on the current page.
