Wover has no servers, accounts, analytics or tracking.

Stored on your device: the words you save, the sentence and page address where you saved them, your review history and your settings. They stay in Firefox's local extension storage and leave your computer only if you download a backup file yourself.

Sent to other services: when you look up a word, Wover sends only that word or selected phrase to:
- Wiktionary (en.wiktionary.org) and Wikimedia Commons, for definitions, pronunciation and audio, or dictionaryapi.dev if Wiktionary can't be reached;
- a translation service: Google Translate (translate.googleapis.com) or MyMemory (api.mymemory.translated.net).
If you click "Translate the whole sentence", that sentence is sent to the translation service. If you enter an email address for MyMemory in Settings, it is sent to MyMemory with translation requests.
These services receive each request like any website visit, including your IP address, and handle it under their own privacy policies.

You can delete everything in Settings → Backup & restore → Delete all words, or by removing the extension.
