I am a big music person and with the recent shut down of youtube and blocking downloads from cobalt tools, I wasn't able to download music for me and my mom anymore, until I found VDH. Not only does it work BETTER than cobalt, but your able to personalize and code in how your songs show their album cover and text!!!! It works great and when you pair it with Tag Editor 2, you literally get perfect music at 900 kbps and perfect labeling of ur tracks. Best app ever, I love you Paul, thank you for your service.

So I purchased the premium license in order to use the feature to download a YT video as an MP3. Worked for a couple of weeks, now it won't even download videos. What did I pay for?

I HIGHLY Recommend.

VDH is perfect, but some websites encode files that cannot be downloaded.

VDH thrives in your Extensions. Go to a website. VDH sees a downloadable file. VDH icon changes from black and white to color to let you know. Click on VDH and it will give you the options of which files (stream, resolution, kbps) to download.

VDH downloads almost every video or audio you find. VERY infrequently someone will have a file that VDH cannot download, but, so far, it's approx 99.99% successful.

Works great for downloading videos. Takes a bit of adjustments at times, but, can almost always get it to work. To be fair, I have not tried youtube videos.

Was a good add-on. Is now paid software that burns an opaque watermark into your download and requires 20 Euros to remove. It tells you this after downloading the videos. yt-dlp exists BTW...

Still says "Your download is done" when what it means is "I downloaded part of your file and then gave up." Gave it a couple years of updates and thought trying again would prove more fruitful, but I was wrong. Still the same barely functional addon.
