Tidet is a desktop app for building software with AI agents. This extension is
how those agents reach the browser you already use.
Everything an agent normally does in a browser happens in a throwaway one: empty,
signed out, nobody's. That is fine for "does my page render" and useless for
almost everything else â the ticket, the dashboard, the invoice and the cloud
console are all behind a session you are already signed in to.
With this extension installed and paired, Tidet can:
It only works while you are paired. Pairing is a six-character code you read
in Tidet and type here, it expires in five minutes, and either end can end it â
uninstall the extension, or revoke the browser in Tidet's settings.
It only talks to your own machine. The extension connects to the Tidet app

- See what is on a page â its structure, its controls and their labels, the
way a screen reader does, rather than a picture it has to guess at. - Act on it â click, type, choose, scroll, and open or close tabs.
- Keep its work in its own place â each Tidet session gets its own tab
group, so you can see at a glance which tabs an agent opened, and close them
together. - Sign in without ever seeing your password. When a login field needs
filling, Tidet asks your password manager and steps back. The value goes from
the manager to the page. It does not pass through Tidet, is not in its
transcript, and is not sent to any model.
It only works while you are paired. Pairing is a six-character code you read

On browser_specific_settings: the id is browser-extension@tidet.ai and strict_min_version is 128.0, which is the first Firefox where MV3 background scripts and scripting.executeScript({func}) behave as the extension expects.
On tab groups: Firefox has no tabGroups API. The code checks for it and falls back to opening a plain tab rather than failing â see api.js.
Data collection disclosure
Technical and interaction data: none is collected. Page content is passed to the user's own Tidet application on the same machine when the user directs an agent to read a page, and is not retained by the extension.
