TabCloack Privacy Policy
TabCloack is built with a "Privacy by Design" philosophy. We believe your browsing habits should remain your business alone.
- No Data Collection TabCloack does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, browsing history, or user data to any external servers. We do not use any analytics, tracking, or telemetry tools.
- Local Storage Only All extension settings, including your locked tab configurations and password hashes, are stored strictly on your local device using the browser's storage.local API. This data never leaves your machine.
- Password Security Passwords are never stored in plain text. We use the industry-standard PBKDF2 cryptographic hashing algorithm (with 75,000 iterations and a unique salt) to verify your identity locally. Even if someone gained access to your local storage files, your actual passwords remain computationally difficult to retrieve.
- No Network Requests TabCloack does not make any network requests. It functions entirely offline and does not communicate with any third-party services or APIs.
- Third-Party Access Since we do not collect any data, we have no data to sell, trade, or share with third parties.
