This extensions helps you not fall into doom-scrolling by getting rid of the initial temptation. If you never see shorts you never will click on them and start the doom-scrolling. However, if by chance someone sent you a shorts video and you clicked on it the add-on will not allow it to load and instead will load a page that says shorts are blocked.
