Sorry, it's not okay to give such reviews and telling the add-on does something wrong and not to say what exactly is wrong. And honestly, I can't believe that it works on Windows and not on Linux. So please provide the test case and steps to reproduce before giving bad reviews…

I just want to start typing in the URL bar and currently it types before the current URL and doesn't replace it. I have to manually highlight the URL then start typing. Switching it to focus on the website is ok but it doesn't work with google to type a web address, it always just searches for it on google.

It may have been updating firefox to 136.0.4. (spaces added to URL - review does not allow otherwise)

It was a feature in „vanilla Firefox“ in the past, but it was abused by bad players and therefore Mozilla was forced to remove the option. It was possible several years ago, but Mozilla had to take this option from Firefox because hijacking was a real problem at that time.
