I couldn't find a place to contact you. But I'm experiencing problems with freegeoip. It keeps telling me that I change countries. (DK/SE). IP isn't changing and if i go to freegeoip it doesnt say that my location/ip is changed. It always shows the correct country. It seems to be working properly with ifconfig.co.
Love the plugin, great to know when a page is messed up or if it's my ISP.
Also good to see when the VPN kicks in, or if my pc decides to hop onto wifi instead of cable.
10/10 would recommend. Thank you for developing this plugin. :)
I like the options available for customizing notifications and choosing the IP checking domain. The country flag display is what I was looking for most because it allows me to quickly verify the VPN server location that I'm connected to.
Does what it's supposed to, and it works great. For a quick check of your external ip this is the best! Thank you Marnes!
Maybe you could adopt the FF icon size and look. It would be great.
Thanks for the 5/5. My icons may not be rectangular but I always make them stretched to the canvas size (i.e. they should be the same size as any others). As for their looks, I'm afraid I'm not a pro icon dev.
Thank you very much for the best (recent) add-on in this category!
Little suggestion: maybe add a non-US server? e.g. http://www.crazzy.se/get_ip.php
Update: suggestion now irrelevant, as the author has kindly added a non-US service in Public IP Display 2.5.
Deserves 6 stars now ;-)
I'd love to add more servers, but I previously had a few of those sites go down after months of ambiguous service, and crazzy.se for example provides no contact info or assurance of reliable and private service. Does the site's location matter for technical reasons (connections to america are as fast as any other) or is it about staying away from the US of NSA? Use the email link to reply.
