Web to Data — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-03
Web to Data turns lists on web pages into spreadsheets. It runs in your browser. We have no server: there is no account, no analytics, and nothing you extract is sent to us.
WHAT STAYS IN YOUR BROWSER
- The pages you extract from, the data you extract, your saved recipes, recent extractions and schedules are stored only in the extension's local storage.
- Your Pro license key and, if you use AI suggestions, your own Anthropic API key are stored there too. Removing the extension deletes all of it.
WHEN DATA LEAVES YOUR BROWSER
Only in these cases, each one started by you:
- License check. When you enter a Pro license key, and about every 3 days after that, the key is checked with our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com). Only the key and an instance name are sent.
- AI suggestions (optional, off by default). After you agree, a simplified copy of the current page (its structure and shortened text, without scripts) and your request are sent straight from your browser to Anthropic (api.anthropic.com), using your own API key. We never see it.
- Webhook (optional). If you set a webhook URL for a schedule, new rows are sent to that URL.
- Feedback form (optional). If you send feedback, your answers, and your email only if you type one in, are sent to our form provider, Tally (tally.so).
- Reading pages for you. To collect several pages, details from linked pages, a list of URLs, scheduled runs, or contacts from company websites, the extension loads those pages from your browser, the same as if you visited them. Company websites are loaded without your cookies. The extension asks for permission to access a website before reading it.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
- We don't collect, sell or share personal data, browsing history or extracted data.
- We don't use data for anything other than the extension's single purpose: turning web pages into spreadsheets.
- We don't use data for credit or lending decisions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
Only extract data you are allowed to access. Follow each website's terms and the data protection law that applies to you, especially for personal data such as emails and phone numbers.
