Visual Shield – Blur People & Face by Hamza Rehan

Visual Shield helps you control what appears in web videos and images by automatically detecting people and faces and concealing them with your chosen privacy effect.

Detection runs locally in your browser using models packaged with the extension. Visual Shield does not require an account, contains no advertising, and does not collect analytics.

Main features:

• Detect people, faces, or both
• Choose Blur, Pixelate, or Cover
• Adjust concealment strength
• Apply global defaults or remember settings for individual sites
• Choose Battery Saver, Balanced, or High Accuracy mode
• Use Strict protection to cover content while it is being analysed
• Protect supported web videos and images
• Process visual content locally on your device

How to use:

1. Install Visual Shield.
2. Open the toolbar popup.
3. Turn Protection on.
4. Select People, Faces, or both.
5. Choose your preferred concealment effect.

Some protected, DRM-controlled, cross-origin, Picture-in-Picture, or technically restricted media may not be available for analysis. No detector is perfect; use Strict protection when avoiding missed content is more important than over-hiding.

Visual Shield does not identify people. It detects visual regions such as people and faces only to apply the selected concealment effect.
