Total Bookmarks is a dual-pane bookmark manager for Firefox and Chrome, inspired by Total Commander. Browse folders side by side, move groups of bookmarks, and organize your collection with mouse or keyboard controls.
- Two independent panes: browse different folders, resize the panes, and navigate using clickable folder paths.
- Bookmark management: create bookmarks and folders, edit names and addresses, and delete selected items with confirmation.
- Multiple selection: select items with checkboxes, toggle ranges with Shift+click, or use keyboard shortcuts.
- Drag and drop: reorder items within a folder or move selections between panes, with insertion indicators and automatic scrolling.
- Drop directly into folders: move selected items to the beginning or end of a folder using dedicated drop areas. These areas can be hidden in settings.
- Keyboard controls: navigate folders, switch panes, select items, and move bookmarks using shortcuts. Built-in help lists the available controls.
- Flexible sorting: sort by name, date added, URL, or domain, in forward or reverse order.
- Name sorting options: choose case-sensitive or case-insensitive comparison.
- Domain sorting: place domains with fewer parts before deeper subdomains in forward order.
- Folder placement: sort folders separately and place them above or below bookmarks. URL and domain sorting preserve the relative order of folders.
- Sort selected items only: sort marked items in their existing positions, or group them into a continuous block starting at the first selected position.
- Quick folder grouping: move all folders to the top while preserving their existing order.
- Readable addresses: display decoded URLs, with separate options for escaped addresses in the bookmark list and editing dialog.
- Site icons: display favicons alongside bookmarks.
- Firefox separators: create, select, move, and delete bookmark separators.
- Three interface languages: English, Russian, and Chinese, with saved language and sorting preferences.
