Tabdial replaces your new tab page with a grid of your favorite websites, organized into groups.

Features

• Never lose your dials: Tabdial keeps a daily copy of them for the last 7 days you made changes, and you can restore one in a click (and undo the restore).
• Keep the same dials on all your computers with Firefox Sync (turn on add-on sync).
• Start in seconds: add your most visited sites with one click.
• Drag dials to reorder them, or drop a dial on a group to move it there.
• Click the toolbar button on any page to add it, with a picture of the page as its thumbnail.
• Jump straight to a site from the address bar: type z, a space and a few words of its address or title. It finds your dials, and your browsing history too if you allow it.
• Find any dial from the search box under the clock, whatever group it's in. If none matches, Enter searches the web with your default search engine.
• Use your own thumbnail: upload an image or paste an image link.
• Pick a built-in gradient, any color or your own image as the background, and choose how many dials fit in a row.
• Moving from another speed dial extension? Import its export file (or pasted export text) and keep your groups, titles and thumbnails.
• Export everything to a file at any time to keep a backup or move to another computer.
• Light and dark mode follow your system setting.

How to use it

1. Open a new tab and click the + tile to add a website.
2. Click + next to the groups to create a group; double-click a group to rename it.
3. Open Settings (gear icon) to change the background, import or export.

Privacy

Tabdial stores your dials, groups, thumbnails and settings in your browser, and your dial list in your own Firefox Sync storage if you keep sync on. Your dials stay in your browser, except when you use Sort: then the site names and titles of the group you sort pass through our website, which keeps none of it, to TypeSafe, an AI service, to suggest groups. There are no ads, analytics or tracking. If you let Jump look in your browsing history, Tabdial reads it only on your computer and never sends it anywhere. With the optional unlock, the daily backup goes to your own Google Drive; payment is handled by Stripe.
