Simple Task Timer: privacy policy
Without sync, the add-on keeps your tasks only in your browser. It sends no data.
Sync is optional. It starts only when you click "Sign in with Google" in Preferences, and Firefox first asks for your OK. Then:
- Google signs you in. The add-on gets your Google account email and a sign-in token, and sends them to Google Firebase Authentication (Firebase project simple-task-timer-e196ff).
- In Firefox for Android, Google sends the sign-in token to the Simple Task Timer web page (https://simple-task-timer-e196ff.web.app), which gives it to the add-on in your browser. The token is in the part of the address that the browser does not send to the web server, and the web page keeps no copy.
- The add-on keeps your task names, times, goals, and the order of your tasks in Google Cloud Firestore, under your account. Only your account can read or change them.
- When you delete a task, only its ID and the time of the delete stay, for up to 90 days, so that your other devices also delete it.
- The add-on uses this data only to show the same tasks on your devices. It does not sell or share the data, and it has no analytics and no ads.
To stop sync, click "Sign out" in Preferences. To delete your synced data, delete your tasks while you are signed in, or ask for it in an issue at https://github.com/ishassan/simple-task-timer/issues.
