About this extension
Serendipity brings back the joy of stumbling onto something good on the web.
Press Surf and your current tab opens a curated page from across the open web: an odd little museum collection, a beautifully made interactive explainer, a long read worth your evening, a tiny game. Like it, skip it, or ask for something similar, and your next picks adapt. No feed, no endless scroll, no ads.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Surf: open a curated page in your current tab, then keep going from the panel beside it.
• Search a topic: type anything (volcanoes, typography, bird song) and surf pages about it.
• Similar: found something you love? Get more like it.
• Like, Not for me, Low quality: quick feedback that shapes what comes next.
• Finds: save the page you're on, including pages you found yourself, and come back to them later.
• Suggest a page: paste a link to suggest it for the shared collection.
• Share and Report: share a find, or flag anything that shouldn't be there.
• Link from mobile: enter a pairing code from the Serendipity app on iPhone or Android so your extension and app share one profile.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-up, no email. A random identifier stored in your browser is all Serendipity needs.
• The extension never reads the contents of the pages you visit. It keeps track only of the address of the tab where you started Serendipity, and sends an address to our server only when you press Save.
• Export your data or permanently delete your profile from Settings at any time.
• Serendipity doesn't run in private windows.
• Serendipity is for people aged 16 and over, the same as our iPhone and Android apps.
Every page is screened by automated safety and quality checks before it's served, and you can report anything that slips through.
