About this extension
SecRAD blocks phishing and malware pages before they load — before you type anything into them.
HOW IT WORKS
• Click a fake link and the page never loads; a SecRAD warning page explains what happened instead.
• Individual trap pages hosted on trusted services such as Google Sites, Google Forms or file-sharing sites are recognized by their full address and blocked too.
• Addresses that imitate a bank or a well-known site with look-alike letters from another alphabet (e.g. secrаd.app written with a Cyrillic «а») are caught even before they are listed; the warning page names the site being imitated.
• The threat list is compiled from national (including Turkey's USOM) and international security sources and downloaded signed; the extension checks for new threats every 15 minutes.
PRIVACY FIRST
• The addresses you visit never leave your browser. SecRAD never asks a server “is this site safe?” — it downloads the signed list and decides in your browser.
• Nothing is collected about safe sites. No account, no ads, no tracking.
• Online banking pages are never inspected; government sites are blocked only on a verified high-risk entry.
• Domain, category and time of blocked pages are kept only in this browser, for 60 days.
YOU'RE IN CONTROL
• Turn protection on or off from the toolbar and see what was blocked today and this week.
• Allowlist the sites you trust; open a blocked site for 10 minutes with “Continue anyway” if you need to.
Works in Firefox (including Android), Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera. Free.
Test: open https://secrad.app/test/phishing — the SecRAD warning page should appear.
