About this extension
Save to Scratchpad adds a button to your toolbar that saves the page you're reading as a note in Scratchpad.
The note keeps the article's text, headings, pictures, tables, and links, and leaves the ads, menus, and share buttons behind. It starts with the title and a link back to the original, so you can always find where it came from. Recipes come in with their ingredients and steps.
The extension sends the page as your browser shows it, so articles behind a sign-in or a paywall you already pay for save properly too. You can add tags before saving, or select a passage and save only that.
Everything you save lands in a Clips folder in Scratchpad, where you can search it, highlight it, and write your own notes around it.
You need a Scratchpad account to use the extension. After installing, open the extension's settings, paste a capture key from Scratchpad's Settings, and you're ready. A capture key can add notes to your Scratchpad and can't read anything in it.
