Q2IP - Proxy Manager, Shield by q2ip

q2ip Proxy Manager is a free add-on that connects Firefox to the proxies you choose and keeps the information a website can read about your browser consistent with that connection.

Add a proxy, press Connect, and the popup shows your current exit IP and location. Switch between saved profiles with one click or with keyboard shortcuts.

Main features
• Works with HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, including SOCKS5 with a username and password
• Paste an entry in a common format (host:port, user:pass@host:port, socks5://host:port) and the protocol and login are recognized automatically
• Built-in checker: test one entry or a whole list and see whether it works, its response time and its country
• Choose which sites use the connection, which sites skip it, or skip the current site with one click
• Import and export your saved profiles

Keeps your connection consistent
• Time zone, language and approximate location follow the exit IP automatically, also when it changes
• Optional kill switch: if the connection stops answering, traffic is blocked instead of going out directly
• WebRTC is limited to proxied connections, and names are resolved by the proxy
• Optional browser fingerprint protection: small, stable per-site changes to canvas, audio and text measurements, plus a device profile that you can set or leave unchanged

Privacy
• No account, no ads, no analytics, no remote code. The code in the package is readable and not minified
• Profiles and passwords stay in your browser and are sent only to the server they belong to
• The IP lookup and the checker contact public lookup services only after you give permission

Good to know
• To use the add-on in private windows, allow it there: about:addons, q2ip Proxy Manager, Run in Private Windows.
• No add-on can make a browser fully anonymous or change network-level fingerprints.
