Playing Speed Adjuster (PSA) by codexjdub

PSA puts a speed control on the audio and video of any page: podcasts, radio archives, lectures, YouTube. It remembers your speed for each site, keeps your place in long recordings, and keeps live streams at normal speed.

• Any speed from 0.25× to 4×: presets, ± steps, a typed value, or the keys [ slower, ] faster and \ for 1.5×.
• Runs on its own: your speed is applied as soon as a page plays something, and a small pill shows it. Click the pill or the toolbar button (Alt+Shift+P) for the full panel.
• A speed for each site, plus a default for sites you haven't set one on.
• Keeps your place: play a long recording again and the panel offers "Resume at 12:34".
• Holds the speed on sites that keep resetting it.
• Live streams, such as live radio, stay at normal speed, since speeding them up would only make them buffer.
• Shows what's playing, with Play/Pause, −10 s / +20 s skips, the real time left at your speed, and picture-in-picture for videos.
• Works with several players on one page, players added later, and players embedded from other sites, such as a YouTube video in a blog.

Private: PSA makes no network requests and collects nothing. Your speeds and places stay in your browser.
