About this extension
Pinlet lets you put sticky notes right on a webpage, exactly where you click. Each note gets a numbered pin, like comments in a design tool, and it's still there when you come back to the page.
Use it to review a website before launch, mark up copy and design changes, report bugs to a developer, keep research notes or leave yourself a reminder for next time.

GOOD TO KNOW
Use it to review a website before launch, mark up copy and design changes, report bugs to a developer, keep research notes or leave yourself a reminder for next time.
HOW IT WORKS
- Open any website and click the Pinlet icon (or press Alt+Shift+N; Option+Shift+N on Mac).
- Click anywhere on the page to place a note.
- Type your note and pick a status color. It's saved automatically.
FEATURES
- Pin notes to anything: text, buttons, images or any other part of a page
- Notes stay in the right place when you scroll, resize the window or the layout changes, even inside scrolling panels and fixed headers
- Works on modern web apps, including content that loads late and sites that switch pages without reloading
- If the part of the page a note was on disappears, the note stays visible where it was, so nothing gets lost
- Share every note on a page with one link. No sign-up for you or the people you send it to. With Pinlet they see the notes on the page; without it, they can still read them in their browser
- Status colors: info, success, warning and danger
- Previous and next buttons take you to each note and highlight what it's attached to
- All notes page: every page you've left notes on, grouped by day, with search, status filters and a link straight back to each note
- The toolbar icon shows how many notes the current page has
- Hide a page's notes with one click; Pinlet remembers your choice
- Undo after deleting a note
- Typing in a note never triggers the website's keyboard shortcuts
- Light and dark theme that follows your system
- Available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Japanese
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- No account, no sign-up
- Your notes are stored only in your browser
- No tracking, no analytics, no ads
- Pinlet doesn't connect to any server
- In share links, the notes go after the # in the address, a part browsers never send to the website
- Lightweight: on pages without notes, Pinlet loads only a tiny script (about 2 KB)
GOOD TO KNOW
- Notes are saved in the browser you wrote them in. To move them to another browser or computer, open a share link there.
- Browsers don't let extensions run on some pages, such as settings pages and extension stores.
