Switch to another tab and playing video or audio pauses. Return and only media paused by this extension resumes. If you paused a player manually, returning to its tab does not start it.

ONE SWITCH
On by default. The toolbar popup has one global switch that updates already-loaded pages without refreshing. Disabling cancels pending resume: turning it back on does not restart an old pause. Turn the extension off for background listening or calls. There are no per-site exceptions.

GET STARTED
Refresh pages opened before installation. Start media using the site's normal play control. No extension account is needed. It does not change volume, speed or playback position, click site buttons, or block autoplay on a visible tab.

VERIFIED
Pause, return and manual pause have been checked in desktop Firefox on ordinary YouTube, W3Schools' HTML video player and the MDN audio example. It follows document visibility: when the browser considers an entire window hidden, media may pause too.

LIMITATIONS
Works with ordinary HTML video/audio elements. It does not control synthesized Web Audio without these elements or players in closed Shadow DOM. Compatibility with every embedded player is not guaranteed. Android, fullscreen, Picture-in-Picture, calls and computer locking are untested; there are no special exceptions for them. Websites can change playback themselves. Network errors, blocked playback or discarded tabs may prevent resuming. A failed resume attempt is not retried automatically.

PRIVACY
Only the on/off setting is stored locally. Viewing history and URLs are not written to storage or transmitted. Media sources are compared temporarily in memory to avoid starting a different video. No analytics, remote code or extension-owned network requests. HTTP/HTTPS website access is needed to work with players.
