About this extension

Learn from the videos you already watch with Manatan.

• Interactive subtitles on YouTube, Netflix, and U-NEXT, with word lookup, transcript navigation, and playback tools.
• Import dictionaries into your browser, or use the dictionary library in the Manatan app.
• Japanese furigana and pitch coloring, with vocabulary learning status.
• Filter YouTube discovery by language, subtitle availability, and estimated difficulty. Explore suggested Japanese channels.
• Capture vocabulary and sentences for Manatan SRS or Anki, with supported screenshot and sentence-audio workflows. Media conversion runs locally in the extension.
• Keep separate learning profiles for your languages and study preferences.

A Manatan account is required to connect your learning data. Some features require a paid Manatan membership, credits, the Manatan app, AnkiConnect, or access to the video service. Subtitle availability and media capture depend on the website, content, browser, and playback restrictions.

Manatan is independent of YouTube, Netflix, and U-NEXT.
