Live Tab Deduplication by Ioan
Redirects duplicate tabs to the already-open version the moment they load. Audit mode scans all open tabs and lets you close duplicates in one click.

About this extension
Ever hit Ctrl+T, paste a link, and realize you already had that tab open three windows ago? Live Tab Deduplication catches it before the page finishes loading.
HOW IT WORKS
As soon as a tab's URL changes to one already open elsewhere, the extension automatically:
→ Focuses the existing tab (even if it's in a different window)
→ Brings that window to the front
→ Closes the newly created duplicate
No flash. No confirmation. Just the right tab, immediately.
⚙️ AUDIT MODE
Not running deduplication yet? Use the "Scan now" button to inspect all open tabs across every window at once.
• Duplicates are grouped by URL
• Each group shows which tabs are "keep" vs "dupe", with their window number and title
• Close individual duplicates with × — or wipe all at once with one button
• Click → on any row to jump directly to that tab
🔧 OPTIONS
• Ignore URL hash — treat example.com/page#section-a and example.com/page#section-b as the same URL. Useful for single-page documentation sites; leave off for apps that use hash-based routing.
• Fully togglable — disable Live mode when you intentionally want side-by-side comparisons of the same URL
