About this extension
Kin Archive turns Kindroid's official export into an archive you can browse at your own pace, on your computer, with an interface that looks like Kindroid's.
What gets saved: full conversations with your Kins and groups, the gallery (selfies, chat images, videos if you want them), calls with their transcript (shown in the conversation, like in Kindroid), favourite thoughts, and every setting: personality, key memories, learned context, saved avatars…
Free up a slot without losing anything: the "Can I delete it?" check shows a Kin's last saved message and image, and verifies that all its photos and videos are really on your computer.
How it works: request your export in Kindroid (Profile → Preferences), drop the file into Kin Archive, pick the Kins to keep, and that's it. Your Kins are stored in Downloads / Kin Archive, without a single question. The following month, a new export adds to your archive and never erases anything: a Kin deleted on Kindroid stays in your archive.
Your data stays with you: the export is read on your computer and sent nowhere. The only connection is downloading your own photos and videos from Kindroid, using the links in your export. No account, no analytics, no ads.
The folder is self-contained: it holds its own copy of the app, readable without the extension, and each Kin can be copied elsewhere and opened on its own.
Screenshots show a demo archive: made-up characters, images generated with Stable Diffusion.
Interface in English and French, dark, light or automatic theme. Overview, guide and limits (in French): https://compagnon-ai.fr/logiciels/kin-archive/
Kin Archive is an independent, free and open-source tool (EUPL 1.2), published by compagnon-ai.fr. It is not affiliated with Kindroid. Beta version: feedback welcome.
