About this extension
Highlight & Save Notes lets you quickly capture important passages while you browse, without leaving the page. Click the toolbar button or use the context menu to highlight the current selection; your highlight is applied visually and the text is stored locally so you can review it later in the add-on’s Options.
The first things you’ll notice are speed and simplicity. You select text, click once, and your note is saved with the page title and URL for easy reference. Notes never leave your device: the add-on uses browser.storage.local, so your highlights remain private.
You’re always in control of permissions. The add-on only requests activeTab (to inject the highlighter on the current tab), storage (to save your notes), and contextMenus (for the optional right-click shortcut). There are no external scripts, no remote code, and no inline scripts. Everything is packaged with the add-on.
Open the Options page any time to browse your saved notes, export them as JSON, or clear them.
