About this extension
See a chess position anywhere, on lichess, chess.com, a YouTube video, a book PDF, a blog post, and want to analyze it? Click the fenshot icon.
The extension screenshots the visible tab, reads the board with a neural network that runs entirely inside your browser, and shows you the position. From there:
Whole games too. On a page that shows a game as a move list, such as chessgames.com, lichess, a chess.com article or a blog, fenshot finds it, checks that every move is legal, and shows it on a small board you can step through. One click opens the full game on Coachess or Lichess, or copies the PGN. Several games on one page? Page through them.
Privacy, for real:
Works with lichess and chess.com themes, book diagrams, and most piece sets. When a position is hard to read, fenshot says so instead of pretending, and routes you to an editor to fix the squares.
Built from the position-import engine of coachess.app.
