BasePic — upload image & get link by BasePic

Share any picture with a link in one click.

Right-click an image on any page and choose “Upload to BasePic”. The image goes to basepic.com and the short link (https://basepic.com/xxxxxxxx) is copied to your clipboard; a notification shows it and opens the page when clicked.

The toolbar button opens a small panel where you can choose an image from your computer, drop it in, or paste an image address. You get the link, a Copy button and an Open button.

What BasePic does
- Free, no account, no API key. Limits per address: 60 uploads per hour, 300 per day; images up to 50 MB.
- Formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC, AVIF, TIFF and more — whatever basepic.com accepts.
- Uploads are private: not listed anywhere and hidden from search engines. Only people with the link can see the image.
- Every upload gets a delete link (shown in the panel), so you can remove the image later.
- GPS location is removed from photos by the server.

Privacy
- The add-on sends only the image you choose (or its address) to basepic.com — nothing else, to no one else.
- It does not collect, store or transmit any personal data, browsing history or analytics. The last link is kept in memory only until the browser closes it.
- No remote code, no third-party services. Source is plain, unminified JavaScript.

Permissions and why
- Access to basepic.com — to upload the image and get the link.
- Context menus — the “Upload to BasePic” item on images.
- Notifications — to show the link when the upload is done.
- Clipboard write — to copy the link.
- activeTab + scripting — only after you click the menu item: to copy the link into the page you are on and, when needed, to read an image that exists only inside that page (data: or blob: images, or pages BasePic itself cannot download from).
