About this extension
Hide AO3 works you do not want in your lists: by author, tag, or a word in the title and summary. A short note replaces each matching card and lists every matching reason.
THREE SIMPLE LISTS
• Author: the complete visible author label, case-insensitive. Anonymous works too. If the link includes a pseudonym in parentheses, enter the entire label.
• Tag: the exact text of a tag link, case-insensitive.
• Word: a substring of the title or summary. An occurrence only in a tag or author name does not trigger a word rule.
Open the toolbar popup and add a rule in its section. Rules apply to open AO3 work lists and persist across page reloads. To bring a work back, remove every rule matching it. Empty lists hide nothing.
SEE WHY IT WAS HIDDEN
The note lists all matching reasons, not just the first. The reason keys author / tag / word remain English; the popup supports English and Russian. Original card contents are not rewritten.
FILTER SCOPE
Public search results, tag listings and author work lists were checked in desktop Firefox. This is a local filter for loaded cards: AO3's result count stays unchanged, and replacement works are not fetched. Bookmark tags, rating icons and full chapter text are not filter fields. No wildcards, regex, individual-work exceptions, master switch, import/export or sync. Android, custom site skins, restricted works and compatibility with other AO3 add-ons are untested.
LOCAL TO FIREFOX
Only your rule lists are stored. No analytics, add-on account, remote code or extension-owned network requests. Website access is limited to archiveofourown.org; the site's own normal requests remain unchanged. If saving fails, the popup shows an error and preserves your draft input. Refresh existing pages after installation.
An independent add-on, not an official Archive of Our Own product.
