Kescher tekijä decudo

Kescher is a free video downloader for Chrome and Firefox. It saves the videos and music you watch or listen to as normal files on your computer: MP4 for video, M4A or MP3 for audio, always in the original quality.

Works on 1000+ websites. Kescher needs no list of supported sites. It watches what the page's own player loads, so almost any website that plays video or audio just works: media libraries and TV catch-up services, news sites, social networks, podcasts, lecture and course platforms and many more. Streams (HLS, m3u8, DASH) and plain video files alike.

How it works

1. Open a page and press play.
2. Click the Kescher icon in the toolbar. It lists every video and audio track on the page, with quality and size.
3. Pick the output, the quality and the file name, click Download. Done.

What you get

• One complete MP4. Streams that arrive in hundreds of small pieces are put back together into a single file that plays anywhere. Nothing is re-encoded.
• Audio only: save just the sound as M4A, or convert it to MP3 right inside your browser. No extra program, no upload to a converter.
• Every quality the site offers, up to 4K, and the audio language you prefer.
• Subtitles as separate files, when the site offers them.
• Title, artist and cover art written into the file, so it looks right in your music or video app.
• Big files stream straight to your disk. A two-hour video never fills your memory.
• Private windows fully supported, a downloads page with progress and history, and a notification when a download finishes.
• Free. No account, no limits, no watermark, no premium version.

Private by design

Kescher sends nothing anywhere. No account, no server, no tracking, no analytics. It only talks to the website you are downloading from, the same way your browser already does.

What it does not do

• Copy-protected content (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and similar) is shown as protected and cannot be downloaded.
• Live streams cannot be recorded yet.

Kescher is German for "dip net": the net you hold under the stream to lift out what is already flowing past.

Please only download content you have the right to download.
