    نسخه 4.51.1

    منتشر شده در ۲۴ سپتامبر ۲۰۲۶ - ۲٫۵ مگابایت
    سازگار با firefox 109.0a1 و نسخه‌های جدیدتر
    Auto-hide subtitles on YouTube

The "Do not show subs in videos in native language" setting used to work only on Netflix. Now it works on YouTube too: when a video plays with audio in your native language, InterSub hides the subtitles for you. If you switch between videos in your native language and the one you're learning, you no longer have to turn subtitles or the extension on and off by hand.

New shortcut: Ctrl+I (Cmd+I on Mac)

You asked us to change the on/off shortcut, since YouTube already uses the I key for its miniplayer. InterSub now toggles with Ctrl+I, or Cmd+I on Mac. Like before, the shortcut works on every site.

    Fixes & improvements
    * Reworked subtitle loading on YouTube. We hope this means far fewer failed loads.
    * While subtitles load, you'll now see a loading counter and the number of attempts, so if subtitles aren't coming through, you can tell InterSub is still trying.
    * Loading failures are now sorted into categories, each with its own message. You'll know why subtitles didn't load in your case and can tell us, so we can look into it.
    * Fixed automatic AI translation of second subtitles.
    * Turned off word translation in input fields and forms.

    New features
    1. New platform support: Bilibili.tv
By popular request, InterSub now supports Bilibili.tv - one of the largest video platforms focused on anime, Asian content, and creator videos.
    2. AI-powered dual subtitle translation
Many users asked for a better way to handle mismatched dual subtitles - when the second subtitle track comes from dubbing and differs significantly from the original in wording and timing.

You can now enable AI-generated second subtitles created on the fly. This provides much closer line-by-line alignment and a more literal translation experience.

The feature is available in Settings and included in paid plans.

    Fixes & improvements
    • Improved YouTube subtitle loading logic. The new system is slightly slower, but should significantly reduce subtitle loading failures, including “Loading subtitles” and “Your IP was blocked by the service” errors.
    • Fixed subtitle display issues on Amazon Prime, Crunchyroll, and Learn.cantrill.io.

    • new algorithm for retrieving YouTube subtitles. This should reduce the number of download failures and “Your IP is blocked” errors.
    • A new “Translate secondary subtitles on the fly” mode has been added (check Settings). This mode ignores any secondary-language subtitles available in the player and replaces them with an AI translation from the first subtitles. It depends on the availability of external translation services and may not work or may be unstable under certain conditions.

    == New platforms
We’ve expanded InterSub to work on two new platforms:
    * HBO Max – watch your favorite shows with dual subtitles and instant translation
    * learn.cantrill.io – perfect for tech learners who want to pick up English while mastering AWS

== Instant word translation — now works across all supported browsers
You can now translate any word or phrase on any website — not just in videos — directly in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox and so on.

== Smart fallback for dual subtitles
When one of the subtitle languages is missing, InterSub now automatically translates it. Now this works for both the main and the second subtitle — making sure you always see both lines, even if the video only offers one.

    == Fixes & improvements
    * Better word translation on websites, especially in Firefox, Reddit, and GitHub
    * Fixed subtitle loading issues on YouTube videos with long ads

    Upgrades to website word translation:
    * Enhanced overall performance for faster, smoother translations.
    * Added a new smart mode: Translate only on websites in your learning language.

This means the translation bubble will appear only on pages written in the language you’re learning.
For example, if your native language is Spanish and you’re learning English, the translation will now only activate on English-language sites. The feature is enabled by default, you can always switch it off in Settings.

    Fixes:
    * YouTube support: fixed cases where the player couldn’t fetch subtitles — translations now work more reliably.
    * Better compatibility with Amazon Prime: resolved subtitle desynchronization issues in videos with ads.
