Extension Metadata

About this extension
Retyc adds a button to Gmail's compose window so you can send end-to-end encrypted files to your recipients without leaving your inbox. Drop a file anywhere on the Gmail tab, and Retyc encrypts it in your browser before uploading. Nobody else, not even us, can read the contents.

How it works
  • A "Retyc" button appears in every compose window
  • Click it to open a panel right inside Gmail
  • Retyc reads the To, Cc and Bcc fields so it knows who you're sharing with
  • Pick files or drag them onto the Gmail tab
  • Files are encrypted on your machine, then uploaded
  • Recipients get a secure link in your email

Your login stays in local browser storage. File contents never leave your browser unencrypted.
