Right click on the "Start using Hola, it's free" button and save the .xpi file. Directly install the .xpi by clicking and dragging the file to Firefox. This will eliminate the endless loop disallowing you to update. At least it did for me.

Re: Jbmusix - it works on chrome for me but unfortunately Mozilla has some problems with the add.. I cant seem to get it updated on Mozilla
