Thanks, detful, it works!
I was going to uninstall Thunderbird because I need the calendar. Google successfully retrieved!
In order to install the nightly build (which would not download), I had to run it from here:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/latest-comm-1.9.1/win32-xpi/
