My Reviews

REST Easy

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

BEAUTIFUL!! Thank you man!! I like how it looks a lot. I have tried Poster (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/poster/) and others (HTTP Response Browser) but I like this one the most. From looks only, i'm going to start using it and get back to you on functionality.

The Addon Bar (restored)

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I can't individually remove some icons from the addon bar from the customize panel. If i try to drag one out it drags like a bar of 5 things out.

Mozilla Labs: Prospector - about:profile

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Wow no way Mozilla Labs/Propspector is still making addons. I've been wanting them to update the addon "Predictive New Tab" for so long, that was a genius idea. Anyways just 3 stars for this one, I don't understand the stats, it says my number one interest is "Internet"... And I dont really get why theres a bar for both male and female and school/work/home etc. Would be nice if you can make it explain itself more with like pretty animated tooltips.

Super Drag

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very beautiful looking design. Like it a lot. However it's not looking transparent for me in FF 27.0.1 like it does in your screenshots.

You needed a more creative and descriptive name. I don't like the name so much.

I especially like how you detect taht if i drag the text into an existing box on the page i dont want any action to happen. Or if i drag the url to another tab etc. Very nice work there.

Is this a firefox only extension? That would be cool, I'm not a google chrome fan. :P If its only for firefox let me know I have some great ideas for this, simple ideas.

Textarea Cache

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This thing is spectacular! HOWEVER I'm a big time Firefox addon developer so am always using the Scratchpad, this thing makes scratchpad practically unusuable after you type enough into it. Seriuous serious perfromance lag I can't even move cursor. Now I know my computer isn't great so I had restarted browser, and then restarted computer then still couldn't find problem. I fianlly narrowed it down to TACache, as soon as disabled it I could type in scratchpad smoothly again. Before couldn't even move the text cursor without my computer going into overdrive. If you can fix this perfect 5 stars man.

Edit: March 25 2014, in reply to dev reply: Much thanks for follow up. I downloaded the new version as I saw it was updated and am testing. Will get back to you with report.

GitHub Extension Installer

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

much thanks for taking into consideration our feedback.

you know the real reason i realized why i just find this addon so awesome. i used to use builder.addons.mozilla.org for 2 reasons, because of commits and 1 click install to test. it was super but they decided to take it down now >_<

but thats ok cuz i found github which is greater.

only thing that would be nice is if there was an uninstall feature on this, but thats just a lazy bum feature as i can just go to addon manager and uninstall, but it would be nice so i dont have to open a another tab.

sometimes i just do some testing on an addon, remove it and continue with browsing, thats why uninstalling in place was nice.

Element Inspector

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Absolutely awesome especially for context menu inspection. Vital. I was still using PopupInspector v0.1 I didn't know you converted it to this. Being restartless is awesome, as I'm always developing I can't restart my browser too easily. I was looking to go add PopupInspector to my dev collection and stumbled across this. Its a great improvement in that I can now shift click anything.

DOM Inspector

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Absolutlely required for FF addon developers. I cannot make an addon without this.

GitHub Extension Installer

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a fantastic addon for bootstrap devs. Much much thanks. It makes addons super easy to share. When I get stuck on a problem on my addon i make a test case addon commit it to github and post on a forum and members can install straight with this addon.

And new devs can easily install demo addons i put out for them.

Is it possible to make this work with gists too? If the gist is named bootstrap.js, it could just make the install.rdf take the github id for name.

VimFx

how to get into hints mode? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

i heard great things about this. i looked in custom menu for all shortcuts and everything but can't get into "hint mode" :(

Edit Jan 19, 2014:
I'm using ff 26

i figured it out, you had to press the hotkey for links, took so long to figure. maybe you can make that clear or in a "get started" guide, because i was trying to get into hint mode for long time.

also i press shift+? a lot but when that pops up, if i press down or up arrow to scroll it scrolls document in window, please make it scroll the hint panel when it is open.

also another thing, when changing hotkeys, it doesn't tell you if the new hotkey i set is conflicting.

i also don't understand multi key shortcuts. like what does the hypen mean? example: 'a,c-F' like what does that mean.

i think we need to make a quick guide that tells you more. like after experimention i relaized that like for next tab K and gT are seperated so it means there are two hotkeys.

can you please also help me on this site: http://git-scm.com/book
when navigate to the search bar and type ignore, then it pops up hints, i want to select those links but i cant use tab, or vim as vims not active when focused, please help.

i really like this addon and increase my rating to four stars. i really appreciate the developers reply to such a newbie to try to help out so i want o give 4.5 stars.

about:addons-memory

Much thanks for this super addon. It also teaches us developers how to make a restartless custom about page.

TabStash

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Does this do memory savings like chromes onetab?

What advantage of this over TabCandy/Panorama?

about:addons-memory

Fantastic Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is absolutely fantastic. It would be nicer if it was live results. It would be just superb if it could show you what exactly in the addon, what loop or proc is taking so much memory so i could work to refine my addons.

PDF Viewer

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

cannot paste. if i copy text from a pdf.js file then paste in an typing field do i get this:




Also for some pages, Firefox still gives prompt saying missing plugin, when you click install it says Adobe Plugin None. I just cancel as pdf.,js already opened the pdf

cannot scroll inside the pdf. instead have to zoom out with build in zoomer. browser zoom makes it very ugly

Bug: if i type into the url bar:
file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Me/My%20Documents/scan0003.pdf

it downloads the file and opens it in my standard pdf opener

FireGestures

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I highly recommend Mouse Gestures Redox: http://www.mousegestures.org/dev/nightly/

I was an avid user of FireGestures but then I switched a few months ago.

I never got the support I needed for FireGestures from the author, never replied to my emails over so long.
